Line scan sensors have very long aspect ratios. Center-sharp lenses fail at the ends of the line — we optimize for consistent MTF from center to both extremes of the image circle.
The lens image circle must cover the sensor line length: a 16K sensor with 5µm pixels needs ~82mm. Our φ90mm designs are built for exactly this class of camera.
In multi-camera web inspection, lens-to-lens consistency determines how well brightness and color can be balanced across channels. We test and bin for uniform transmission.
Send your camera model, pixel size and line length — we will confirm image circle coverage and recommend the right focal length for your field of view.
